Mojito Cocktail Recipe
Mojito
Ingredients:
- 2 oz white rum
- 0.75 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.5 oz simple syrup
- 6–8 fresh mint leaves
- Club soda to top
- Lime wheel & mint sprig to garnish
- Crushed ice
History & Notes:
The time-tested classic from Havana, the “Mojito” blends bright lime and cooling mint with a soft white rum backbone. A “go outside, sit on your porch, drink this and wag tails” kind of drink. Mint fresh from your garden or patio planter makes all the difference. If you like it slightly richer, swap in a rich simple syrup or go heavier on the rum.
Assembly:
In a sturdy highball glass, lightly muddle the mint leaves with the simple syrup and lime juice—just enough to release the oils, don’t pulverize the leaves. Add the rum, fill the glass with crushed ice, then top with club soda and gently stir to combine. Garnish with a lime wheel and a mint sprig.
